COVID-19 : Concerns & Guidelines from ICP
ICP wanted to reach out to you today and remind you that we at ICP take public health and safety seriously.
We have been watching the developments of the COVID-19 virus locally, nationally, and globally and would like to remind you to follow the basic recommendations of medical professionals and health experts for preventing illness and infection.
As ICP is currently considered a low-risk area, our operations will continue as is InshaAllah.
If that changes, God forbid, we will be following official recommendations. Updates will go out on our usual channels as needed.
Until further notice, our Friday prayer service will be offered as before InshaAllah. Please try to get your own rug for prayers if can.
If you are currently sick or have a compromised immune system, please stay home. This is for your own protection as well as the protection of your family members and the community at large.
We cannot stress this last point enough.
Our Prophet, peace be upon him, said, "The sick should not be exposed to the healthy" [al-Bukhari and Muslim]
When visiting ICP we ask that you do the following.
- Please get your own hand-sanitizers as needed.
- Please cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your elbow.
- Please consider a warm smile when greeting each other instead of a handshake or hug.
- People who have significant diabetes kidney problems lung or heart problems not to come.
- People shall leave masjid soon after prayer and do not linger around.
Khutba should be short so Jumuah finishes early.
If Governor Wolf declares isolation policy for our county then we should avoid mass gathering.
On a more spiritual note, please remember that Allah is in control of all things so, turn to Him for comfort and protection.
"Sufficient for us is Allah, and He is the best disposer of affairs." [3:173]
If you have any personal concerns, please feel free to reach out to management directly.
